Senior Systems Analyst
This is a remote position. The Senior Systems Analyst will support the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) Program. This role is part of CPA's Fiscal Management Statewide Fiscal Systems team and provides advanced functional and consultative support across the CAPPS HR/Payroll tower, including HR/Payroll, Financials, STARR, and ancillary systems. The Senior Systems Analyst serves as a primary point of contact for CAPPS agencies, supporting functional design, system configuration, and compliance activities such as FMLA administration and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards. The role also oversees batch job monitoring, Fiscal Year-End coordination, and the CAPPS Annual Disaster Recovery exercise. The Senior Systems Analyst works under minimal supervision, applying independent judgment to support a statewide network of more than 100 Texas state agencies and approximately 80,000 employees on the CAPPS Central platform.
